Scam Alert: Fraudulent Travel Emails
We have detected fraudulent third parties falsely claiming to arrange travel and/or accommodation for the WALCOM 2026 conference. These entities may appear legitimate and often reach out via email.
Important: If you receive any emails from Converia Travel (for example, from the email address lodgings@converiatravels.com) or any other organization claiming to offer travel services, please note that these are spam messages and should be ignored. WALCOM 2026 is not using any travel agency for our conference.
What to do if targeted by a scammer:
If you receive fraudulent emails, websites, or other communications, please ignore them completely. Do not click any links, make any payments, or engage with the sender. Responding, even briefly, confirms that your contact information is active, which may result in further unwanted attempts to contact you.
