Conference Venue #

The main venue of WALCOM 2026 is at the Engineering Department of the University of Perugia. Located on the university's Engineering campus, the department is situated in a peaceful, green area of Perugia, easily accessible by bus from the city center.

The main conference room, Aula Magna, provides a comfortable and well-equipped environment for WALCOM 2026:

• Seating: Comfortable cinema-style chairs
• Connectivity: Equipped with reliable Wi-Fi
• Accessibility: Fully wheelchair accessible

Access to the room: From the parking area in front of the central building (marked FACOLTÀ DI INGEGNERIA), the Aula Magna is located on the ground floor of the circular building on the right. Coming from the parking area, the entrance to the room is on the right, just before the entrance to the bar.

Access to the Venue #

If your hotel is in the city center, as we recommend, the conference venue (Department of Engineering) can be easily reached using public transport, either by bus FS Busitalia, the Minimetrò, or a combination of both. Since there is a bus stop named INGEGNERIA right in front of the campus, taking the bus—Line F—is likely the most convenient option for at least the final part of the journey, as the nearest Minimetrò station is a 30-minute walk. We suggest using the Moovit app or Google Maps to find the route that best suits your needs.

Bus — from the City Center

• Walk to Piazza Fortebraccio (approx. 750m, 10min from Piazza Italia)
• Wait for Bus Line F toward S. Mariano or Osp. Misericordia
• Ride to Ingegneria bus stop (4 stops, approx. 11min)
• Walk to the Department of Engineering (approx 50m, 1min)

Minimetrò + Bus — from the City Center

• Walk to Pincetto — Minimetrò station (approx. 400m, 6min from Piazza Italia)
• Wait a few minutes for the next Minimetrò toward Pian di Massiano
• Get off at Cortonese stop (5 stops, approx. 11min)
• Walk to V. Cortonese MM bus stop (approx. 10m, 1min)
• Wait for Bus Line F toward S. Erminio
• Ride to Ingegneria bus stop (2 stops, approx. 5min)
• Walk to the Department of Engineering (approx 50m, 1min)

Minimetrò — from the City Center (if you like to walk)

• Walk to Pincetto — Minimetrò station (approx. 400m, 6min from Piazza Italia)

• Get off at Pian di Massiano stop (6 stops, approx. 15min)
• Walk to the Department of Engineering (approx. 2.0km, 29min)
